Description
4vets Gastro Intestinal veterinary diet is a complete, easily digestible food for dogs with digestive and intestinal malabsorption, diarrhoea and gastritis. Contains easily digestible ingredients, low-fat levels and increased electrolytes to replenish substances lost due to digestive problems. It is also recommended during the period of convalescence after an illness. In consultation with a veterinary surgeon, it can be used in states of chronic pancreatic insufficiency. The use of an easily digestible diet, through its altered consistency and its content of easily digestible protein and fat, with high biological value coefficients, ensures the nourishment and regeneration of the organism while having a sparing effect on the digestive and secretory functions of the digestive tract.
Recommendations:
Before feeding the diet to your dog, it is recommended to contact your vet to determine the dosage. Use for 1 to 2 weeks in the case of a course of acute diarrhoea and during the period of convalescence. And from 3 to 12 weeks in case of compensation of digestive disorders. In the case of chronic pancreatic insufficiency, for the entire life of the dog. The dog should be given constant access to fresh water to drink.
Distinctives:
Dried beer yeast (source of prebiotics: mannanooligosaccharides and β-glucans) – has a beneficial effect on the intestinal bacterial flora. Yeast stimulates the response of immune cells located in the lymphoid tissue clusters of the gastrointestinal wall, making it more resistant to environmental factors.
Flaxseed- is a source of energy and protein, and contains essential fatty acids needed for proper development, these compounds are not synthesised in the animal body and must be supplied with food. In addition, it has an intestinal protective function.
Grain-free – the food is free of hard-to-digest and often allergenic grains; the carbohydrate source has been replaced with a more digestible and healthier carbohydrate derived from potato starch.
High-quality protein – the food is based on raw materials of animal origin (turkey and salmon) characterised by a high content of complete protein with a high limiting amino acid coefficient and a very favourable fatty acid composition.
Linseed oil and salmon oil- the addition of these oils increases the pool of essential fatty acids, in the digestion of which the liver and pancreas are less involved.
DL-methionine increases the competitiveness of the absorption of the branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine, thus increasing the amount of amino acids involved in the regeneration of body tissues.
